Sculpting Resilience in Molten Color

Sherry Been's world is a crucible of artistry and alchemy. From her Manhattan studio, she breathes life into metal, transforming it into vibrant sculptures through the ancient art of enameling. Molten glass, born at 1500 degrees, bleeds vibrant hues onto sculpted copper, each wrinkle whispering a story of strength.

Beyond mere beauty, Sherry's work is a defiant dance between fire and form. Each piece emerges from a multi-layered tango of artistry and chemistry. As molten glass meets metal, vibrant rivers of color erupt, each a unique signature of the fiery collaboration.

Empowering Through Art

Beyond the aesthetic, Sherry's art carries a deeper purpose. Inspired by the "YOU MATTER" message, she strives to elevate self-worth in marginalized individuals and communities. Each piece becomes a beacon of love and empowerment, radiating acceptance and strength.

A Journey in Metal and Flame

Sherry's artistic fire was ignited in Boca Raton, where she discovered enameling while studying 3D digital animation. Merging these passions, she began sculpting copper canvases for her fiery glass.

Since then, her work has captivated galleries like Utah's DeZion and graced prestigious exhibitions like the 2023 Texas National Art Exhibition. Recognized for her talent, she received the Sustainability Award and was a finalist for the Emerging Artist Award at the 2023 American Handcrafted Fair in Philadelphia.
